Timeline for the review

October 2010-January 2011
The formal consultation informing the first stage of our strategic review closed on 14 January.
You can see the results of the consultation, and our initial conclusions and next steps, on this blog.

February-April 2011
This is when the review will become more detailed and focussed. Informed by responses to the consultation, we’ll be getting into the ‘nitty-gritty’ of the Commission’s structure and activities – and into resource allocation.

During this time, you’ll continue to be able to feed into the process by posting messages on this site or by emailing us.

As we become clearer about some of the proposals being developed, we’ll ask specific questions which we’ll encourage you to respond to.

April-May 2011
This is when we’ll be working on the strategy itself. At this stage, we’ll have gathered and evaluated the views of stakeholders and will be working out the details of our strategy internally.

1 October 2011
Our aim is to complete our internal restructure by this date.
We hope to publish the final strategy document later in the summer. We’re not pinning down a date, because it’s important we conduct the review properly, carefully and in a considered manner.

But we will be working as quickly as we can. We understand that the coming months are a period of uncertainty for charities, their advisers and for our members of staff.
